Donna Chavis

Senior Fossil Fuels Campaigner, Friends of the Earth U.S.

Donna Chavis who is a member of the Lumbee Tribe of Eastern NC and is actively working against the Atlantic Coast Pipeline that crosses their traditional territory. She  is the Senior Fossil Fuels Campaigner with Friends of the Earth U.S. She is a recognized leader in social and environmental justice change and practice. Donna was a member of the Planning Committee of the First National People of Color Leadership Summit in 1991 which developed the Principles of Environmental Justice.
